About The Gantry
The Gantry is an independent sports publication based in Jersey, Channel Islands.
Providing quality, in-depth and timely sports journalism for Jersey, the site is home to match reports, interviews and exclusive stories from the Island.
The Gantry was launched in April 2023 by sports journalist and commentator Tim Pryor.
About Tim
- Has reported on sport in Jersey since 2008
- Spent nearly a decade at BBC Radio Jersey, much of which as Sports Editor (2008-2017), and has worked as a freelance sports commentator for the station in the last few years
- Also reported on sport for BBC Channel Islands News TV
- Freelance sports journalism for Jersey Evening Post and Bailiwick Express (2017-2021)
- Commentated on nine Muratti Vase finals for the BBC, including the 100th, and eight Siam Cup matches
- Covered five Natwest Island Games. Aland 2009 and Isle of Wight 2011 (both from base), and Bermuda 2013, Jersey 2015 and Gotland 2017 (at the event)
- Covered the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (for the BBC) and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (as media officer for the Commonwealth Games Association of Jersey)
- Covered Wimbledon for BBC Nations and Regions (radio and TV) in 2016
